Jewelry for the multidimensional minded! This small Gold Pendant is a reflection of the fourth dimension, and an adaptation of the cross in Dali's 'Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus).' By the time Dali painted this work in 1954, he had abandoned atheism and embraced Catholicism. During this period, he also became increasingly interested in modern science. By combining religious and scientific elements, he achieved a work of sublime spiritualism, a meditation on Christ's glory. The unusual cross from which Christ is suspended is an eight sided dodecahedral cube, a geometric reflection of the fourth dimension. The image is skillfully reproduced in 22 karat gold plated pewter.
